Carnot IFPEN Transports EnergieBatteries : from design to recycling
OUR strengths

IFPEN draws on experimental resources and modeling techniques making it possible to characterize and test battery behavior.

•    Partnerships to support the development of our partners' products or to develop joint technologies

•    Means of formulation and implementation of battery materials

•    Complete and specific means of experimentation to characterize and test the behavior of batteries: battery banks, cell prototyping lines, etc.

•    Creation of prototypes to validate the different bricks developed and take into account industrialization constraints from the start

Points to remember
COMUTES²: an open research ecosystem
The COMUTES² consortium was created at IFPEN’s initiative in association with five other research laboratories with the aim of organizing joint aging test campaigns. The results of each test campaign, open to industrial membership, are assembled in databases accessible to all consortium members, and can be used to calibrate durability models, for example. This original way of working has numerous advantages: the experience and skills of the various laboratories benefit the whole community, the knowledge acquired is widely disseminated, and the costs of time-consuming and resource-intensive tests are shared.
