Location: Salons de l’Aveyron (Paris) – IFPEN stand: 3A
IFPEN will take part in the 2024 H-NAT world summit, being held in Paris from 25 to 26 November. This major event will bring together key players from industry, leading researchers, policymakers and technology suppliers to discuss the latest advances, explore innovations and forge strategic partnerships. The summit will highlight the central role played by France in the field of natural hydrogen research and development, while underlining the opportunities offered by this rapidly-expanding sector, particularly in industry, transport and energy production.
IFPEN, one of the event’s sponsors, will have its own stand where participants will be able to meet with its experts to discuss the latest innovations and solutions proposed by its teams.
Visitors will be able to learn about IFPEN’s research relating to the identification of natural hydrogen sources, the evaluation of development opportunities, the understanding of the mechanisms at play and the quantification of potential. This research takes the form of sampling campaigns, gas analyses, geochemical and geological studies, hydrogen-related microbial activity tests and experiments involving fluid circulation in porous media. IFPEN also has access to laboratory and basin-scale modeling tools.
Marie-Christine Cacas Stentz, R&D project manager with IFPEN’s Earth Sciences and Environmental Technologies Division, will speak at the “New advances in numerical simulation of natural hydrogen systems” conference on 25 November from 2 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.
