Biofuels and electrofuels: IFPEN at Paris Air Lab 2023

IFPEN will present its solutions in the fields of advanced biofuels and electrofuels, which are alternative options to conventional kerosene.

At a time when reducing greenhouse gas emissions is a priority, the aviation sector, responsible for 13% of global CO₂ emissions from transportation, must undergo a profound transformation. Today, over 99% of aviation fuels are derived from petroleum. How can we decarbonize them in the future?

Join us at the third edition of the Paris Air Lab, at the heart of the new revolution in air transport. The event is dedicated to exploring responses and solutions to the decarbonization challenge in the aviation sector, from various academic, technological, and industrial perspectives. 
 

Visit the IFPEN booth to learn about sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs)

IFPEN has been a pioneer in developing eco-efficient solutions to produce alternative fuels to fossil fuels - Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) - and reduce their environmental impact.

It is based on this expertise that IFPEN is participating in the Paris Air Lab (its booth will be in the "Decarbonized New Energies" area). Their team will present their four production pathways from diverse resources in the fields of biofuels (Vegan™, BioTfueL®, Futurol™, Jetanol) and electrofuels.

Do you want to understand exactly what lies behind these new fuels? Samples of the raw materials used in the production of these sustainable fuels will be exhibited at the booth - used cooking oils, forest and agricultural residues - alongside intermediate products, different processes, finished products, and the IFPEN team will be delighted to answer visitors' questions about their production.
