The 4th edition of the Pau low-carbon mobility forum will be held on April 28 and 29, 2025. Aimed primarily at mobility stakeholders, French and European decision-makers, and research institutions, this interdisciplinary forum will alternate between political panels, technical panels, and scientific workshops, fostering a holistic exchange of ideas and expertise at the intersection of transportation policy, innovative technologies, and sustainable mobility solutions.
As a pillar of the economy, transport accounts for a quarter of the EU's greenhouse gas emissions. It is therefore essential to successfully transition this sector towards defossilisation while contributing to the development of the economy, without threatening the freedom of movement that is essential to our society.
Since 2022, the European Low Carbon Mobility Forum in Pau (France) has enabled private and public stakeholders to find information and solutions to meet the challenges of deploying decarbonized or defossilized mobility:
• Provide an exhaustive overview of the texts voted on by the EU and their operationality;
• Connecting public and private stakeholders to promote the deployment of all necessary infrastructure;
• Promote all low-carbon mobility solutions;
• Supporting the transformation of sectors.
Prior to the publication of the New clean european industrial deal and in the difficult context that European industry is currently experiencing,where uncertainties are numerous and trade tensions between major powers are exacerbated, this 4th edition of the PAU low-carbon mobility forum aims to take a clear inventory of the prospects in the field of mobility, and to present proposals to accelerate the trajectories towards carbon neutrality.
Program
The scientific and technical programme will be developed by a Scientific Committee chaired by Florence Delprat-Jannaud (IFPEN), which brings together a jury of renowned European experts in the field: Anne Bouter (European Commission Joint Research Centre), Raphaël Boroumand (Paris School of Business), David Chiaramonti (Politecnico di Torino), Maria Georgiadou (European Commission).
A call for contributions has been launched and will close on March 10
