The 2015 Innovation Awards organized each year by Engie have just singled out two joint Engie and IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) projects concerning two technologies emerging from IFPEN research from among 500 internal entries:
The stratigraphic modeling software solution, DionisosFlow™, was awarded the Business Development prize in the Group category and the Digital Data prize in the Branch category.
The software makes it possible to understand and model sedimentary deposit formation. In 2014, its performance secured it the EAGE's (European association of geoscientists and engineers) Robert Mitchum award.
SmartAnalog™ a was awarded the Grand prix award in the Branch category. SmartAnalog uses drone technology to produce rock outcrop images.
These are then used to construct a 3D model of the terrain studied.
