Carlos Sanchez Rodriguez was recently awarded the prize for the best poster at the Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale XL (CSI XL) conference held in June in Pisa (Italy).
The student is conducting his thesis research at the University of Alicante in Spain, in Professor J.-L. Todoli’s group, on a subject financed by IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) aimed at characterizing inorganic bioethanol contaminants.
This PhD research, co-supervised by C.-P. Lienemann from IFPEN’s Physics and Analysis Division, falls within the framework of IFPEN’s fundamental research program and, more particularly, the Physical and Chemical Characterization of Fluids component. The research made it possible to determine:
This work fits squarely with the theme of one of IFPEN’s upcoming Rencontres Scientifiques events due to be held at the Rueil-Malmaison site in the fall of 2018, namely: Industrial and environmental issues of Hg, As, Si, Cl pollutants: recent advances in chemistry, analytical and process sciences.
