IFPEN is taking part in the European EU-LIVE Efficient Urban LIght VEhicles project focusing on hybridization and electrification in the field of transport.
This project, selected for the European Union's research and innovation funding program, Horizon 2020*, has just been launched for a period of 36 months with 11 other partners.
The objective of EU-LIVE is to come up with innovative solutions in the field of cost-effective, silent, energy-efficient, clean hybrid transmission chains.
Implementing a modular approach enabling the use of components of a similar design for varied applications, EU-LIVE aims to develop:
IFPEN's teams are responsible for designing, developing and perfecting a hybrid transmission and its control for the plug-in hybrid three-wheeler. The ultimate goal is to be able to take the innovation developed to market.
(*) Horizon 2020 funds multidisciplinary projects and covers the complete innovation chain, from the idea through to market, with three priorities: scientific excellence, industrial leadership and societal challenges. Read all about Horizon 2020.
